In the previous lesson I wrote about cosplay. This time let’s discuss the categories of cosplay. I’ve told you about the categories: the awesome ones, evil ones, weird ones, losers and the just for fun. In this article I’ll stick to the first group.

As you’ve probably already seen, there are also sub-categories. We’ve four groups for the category “awesome ones”

1. Artist
Cosplay is an art to them. It is not just for having fun, they take it very seriously. They think about cosplay all day and make their own costumes. They probably have a huge collection of clothes and they often read magazines about cosplay, also studying a lot theories about the topic seems to be a daily activity to them. They are often die hard anime fans too. Their ultimate goal: A “perfect” cosplay and stealing the show. Some people think they are too crazy, but yeah…just decide it yourself!

2. Cute ones
I like this group. The cute ones are often people in maid outfits or the Chobits and Vocaloid players. They are so kawaii! They like to let people see them as very cute anime girls. I always take a picture of them

3. Look-alike
These people think act and dress in the same way as their cosplay character. They very much look like the anime character and you would probably be confused if you see one, cuz you may struggle with fiction and reality.

4. Sexy ones
This is also my favorite group of cosplayers. I like sexy girls in sexy dresses, they are the popular types in general. They dress in a very seductive way and of course a lot of men like it. Some even offer free hugs and kisses, yeah baby!
