Queen’s blade, Captain Liliana photoshoot 2
Figures & ToysThis is my second post about this pvc figure from Queen’s blade. Here is the nude session as I promised and I am still using my Canon kitlens to get the job done. A lens that sucks when you have to play with depth of field. I am also having a hard time with focus, even if I use a tripod.
As every pro will notice: lots of noise and blurriness in poster size format, but the photos are great for web most of the time. I am thinking of buying a 60mm Macro lens from Marktplaats (Dutch Ebay like website). Because I would like to shoot those ultra sharp images with bokeh and relying on Photoshop costs me too much time.
Do you have experience with the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM and would you recommend it for toy photography? I am not photographing insects, so I think this lens can handle the work for me. Also would you recommend a Sigma or Tamron lens over a Canon one? Again I am no expert and appreciate your advice ![]()
Here are some images from my strict selection:
I did not do weird things with this figure, but I wonder where that “dust” came from…
