Abunai 2010

Abunai 2010 was so f*cking awesome, it is probably one of the best and largest cons in the Netherlands. I was there on Saturday together with my friends who didn’t know each other, but I am happy that they were getting along. We were right on time at the convention, all thanks to me (the driver), an overloaded car and “almost perfect” navigation skills.

The convention
The convention was in Veldhoven and they used to throw the party elsewhere, so it was a new place and a new experience. The con was like a maze and we were lost several times. I liked the garden, the pond and the woods. The building and the environment were very beautiful.

The crew
I like the maids of Sparkling Potpourri and of course we couldn’t let this chance to slip by, so we were having lunch at the maid café. I wanted to order noodles, but they were not allowed to sell it anymore, so instead I ordered a cheesecake. We were also taking a photo together with the kawaii maids. LOL now I finally understand how the guy from the manga “He is my master” feels.

The dealer room
I bought a chibi Miku toy and picked up my order at the dealer room. I already know most of the dealers, so I didn’t expect too much of them.

The workshops and other programs
We didn’t join any workshop, but we were having a lot of fun in the gamesroom and taking pictures of awesome pantyshots cosplayers.

It was a very fun con, but it was a maze… (_- b)
I enjoyed the cosplay act show, I also liked how kind the people were. The only thing that was really frustrating me was that they didn’t sell any S.H. figuarts of dragonball and that all the Naruto figures were out of stock. But i am happy with the stuff i bought there, that was a “captain Ginyu DX HQ figure” and a “Sephiroth Play arts figure from the kingdom hearts series”. The friends of Otaku did very friendly and kind to me and i could really have a good talk with them. The maids were kinda good looking and very nice at the maid café, but waiting on a free table was kind of irritating. I was really exhausted when i came home, because we walked almost the whole time on the convention.
I know that this is a large comment, but i am just really excited about how the con was.

Just admit you were the reason we kept getting *lost* Otaku…

It was something new for me and although I felt like Narutards were coming out of every orifice of the location, some of the other cosplay acts did make me happy, especially if I recognized them.

E.G. I didn’t see the Magus in person, but I really like the picture of him, only the candles were missing.

Also, I’m extremely surprised at the lack of Vocaloid pictures, was expecting atleast half of your pictures to be Vocaloids… (Not just 1)
