That last one didn’t go completely as planned… For those who were wondering who or what that is in the banner, it’s a mecha from Mahou Sentai MagiRanger, the origin of Power Rangers Mystic Force. Well, it’s been some time, but I’m back again. Going right on with what I promised I would, Kamen Rider. Still, once again I threw a word on you you might not know, Showa. No that’s not part of the title, or even officially associated with Kamen Rider, instead its a very persistent fan term.

Right, so I dropped this scary word in my Kamen Rider post, Tokusatstu… Without even backing it up, I even linked to an explanation for an anime staple, the Tsundere. But why not Tokusatsu, or Toku in short? Because Toku is a genre in it’s own right and very wide and varied.
